TODAY: SCC forum

Reminder: the first SCC forum will be held TODAY, Monday, September 28th from 12:15-1:15 in Hampton House 297.

The forum is open to all HPM students and provides an opportunity to hear updates and give feeback about the department in a conversation with our department chair, Dr. Ellen MacKenzie.

Lunch will be provided for all who attend!

Available SCC Position

Just a reminder, we're looking for reps from the MHS, MHA, and DrPH program to represent student opinions on SCC. In addition, we're looking for a Student Assembly representative from SCC. Email hpmscc@jhsph.edu if you're interested.

Separately, SCC is helping the Department find and choose a Student Assembly representative for the whole department. Any student is eligible; please contact hpmscc@jhsph.edu if you're interested.

2009 "Spring" HPM Retreat

Save the Date: the Health Policy and Management 2009 Spring/Summer Retreat will be held from 8 am to 5 pm Monday July 27th, location TBD. At the moment, the Retreat is rumored to be open to all students. Official invitations from the Department are likely to arrive in your inbox soon.

TA Openings

Though its unclear how often its updated, I wanted to bring everyone's attention to the fact that TA opportunities are posted on the HPM intranet site: https://my.jhsph.edu/sites/hpm/students/default.aspx (AY0809_1st Term TA allocations, for example). Opportunities for fall classes have yet to be announced, but we will update you when that happens. We will also work with the department to start posting opportunities on this blog as well.

This meeting space is being developed for current graduate students studying Health Policy and Management. Currently, first year PhD students have been invited to join, but feel free to invite others to become contributors as well.
